Updating the Update

A later news article says that Father Greeley was discharged from acute care yesterday and is now at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago undergoing therapy.

RIC is one of THE best acute rehabs in the country so I know he's going to do well.

I'm worried that he NEEDS inpatient rehab. I haven't been able to find anything on what sort of brain injury he might have gotten. Having worked in acute rehab for 9 years I know the range of what could be wrong and I'm going to be scared for him until we get something concrete. At the same time, no matter what his prognosis it is vastly improved by being at RIC.

Frankly, I'm hoping for motor control issues and not cognitive ones. I'm gonna keep praying.

You and me both. My thoughts went immediately to "stroke." Which could be...well. Pretty much anything.
