I lost the contest at work to Mayhem and the US Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team but I'm pretty happy with my costume and as it turned out TPTB forgot to buy the traditional gift certificate prize so all they get is bragging rights anyway.

Well, winning isn't everything, especially when there isn't a prize! I was just Way Too Lazy to dig out my dollar store witch's hat this year. I have a really fabulous black cape lined with red satin that I should have worn to work, though! Keep forgetting about it.

With a little tweaking and a few adjustments, you could transform your costume into a black and white toga for next year. Or a dalmation (you'll need ears and a tail), or maybe the kind of stylish fashion-statement burka that could get a woman scolded (hopefully not worse) by the Taliban.

I hope someone put some chocolate in your treat bag!
