I bought an obi

And I may buy a tail this afternoon and make this into a kitsune costume.

OOOoooh, teh pretties!

That would definitely make an awesome shadow kitsune costume. The geta are cute, but they look like arch-killers if worn too long!

Good thing I don't have arches to speak of. Heh. I never, ever, wear flip flops so the little muscles involved in walking in these shoes without stepping out of them are what really start to hurt.

I'm wearing pointy ears just like Shippou's in the picture.

I am debating getting a second set and doing some fur tufts on the tips. That's a lot of work though and I'm not sure I really need to do it for the outfit.

fur tufts are nice. i can't see it so good in the pic.... you need more height!

EDIT: oh i can see it. sticks out from your head too much for real ears:) cute

When I had long hair like my avatar I could braid bits so that my hair concealed the join between the prosthetic and my real ear but was pulled down enough the tips would show better. I'm liking the bob a lot but it doesn't give me as much flexibility as I'm used too.

Years ago I had a set of pointy ears that looked real and covered the entire ear so that the seam was right next my head and they were so much easier to work with. I haven't seen any like that in years though so I'm stuck with the tips.
