I have the day off tomorow to deal with packing and stuff and then we leave first thing Friday morning for St. Pete. It's been two years since I got to go and it looks like they have a really good schedule this year.

Let's hope the Friday night slash panel goes better than it did two years ago when it turned out that none of the three people who had been recruited as panelists even knew what slash was and less then 10 minutes in half the audience beat a stratigic retreat to the con suite to hold our own round table.

That would be a good theory except that Necro lost it's focus on horror well over a decade ago and is pretty much a pan-fandom con.

If the would-be presenters were that clueless as to what 'slash' has come to mean, I'd say nobody updated them on the change in terminology.
