Wheeee!

Something bad has got to be just around the corner. Or else I accidentally stole Christina's luck.

Monday I finally, after months of trying, got my Visa receipts to be matched with statements file empty. 'Course I now know for sure that I'm missing receipts so phase two of getting those records current starts tomorrow. Just so you know I'm not a total loser I have seven cards, each for a different cost center my boss oversees. I spend thousands of dollars a month of company money on everything from mechanical pencil lead to wheelchairs and casting material. At the end of fiscal year last year we bought a LOT of stuff at the last minute at the same time I was inundated with end of the year paperwork and things w/o a deadline stacked up and I've  been playing catch up ever since.

Tuesday I had my every six months blood work and doctor's appointment and this time the doctor threw in all the metabolic screens and even though I'm "morbidly obese" at 192 everything was absolutely normal.

Today was my greatest accomplishment though:

*drumroll*

I bathed both cats and didn't get hurt!

We are having a flea infestation and despite spraying them and the house they were still miserable so I got some good old fashion flea shampoo and hauled them into the shower. An amazing amount of flea dirt was washed off and now they are nursing their rumpled dignity.

I wonder what the Lotto is up to tonight?

Great!

That's a huge achievement, bathing two cats without injury! As a "Mad Cat Lady", I am very impressed.

Have you tried washing their bedding with tea tree oil? I find it seems to deter the fleas significantly.

No, I haven't but then they don't really stay in their official bed too much. Mostly they like to sleep in the dirty clothes basket, on top of the covered litter box, or on the ironing board if it's left up and my bed.

Wheee!

My luck didn't hold completely. I only had one number. AND after all the drama with him last night Tanner rolled over so I could scrunch his belly this morning and there was a flea. AARGGH. The war continues.

But then they gave out free ice cream in the cafeteria today so I'm happy anyway.

So, that's where it went!

Couldn't go to a better person.
