Gavitation: Is it SUPPOSED to be making sense or what?

Seriously.

I found a scanlation and I've read the first two chapters (tracks, whatever) and is it supposed to be random and confusing or was the translator on drugs?

I know there are people on my F!List who like this series and I see that it gets its share of fanfic and art so I wanted to read enough of it to have some idea of what it's about but the Wiki entry was more helpful than actually reading any of it. Actually, the spoilers at Wiki convinced me I really don't want to spend a lot more time reading this but I'd be more motivated to at least finish the first volume if I didn't feel like someone was doing the equivilant of that old party game of watching the TV with the sound turned off and making up random drunken dialog.
